Wrote a post on Elite XT protein powder this morning. My go-to protein for a year and it never lets me down. 😉
Power went out at 8:30 this morning for NO REASON, so I went to the gym for a very early morning session. A lot of old people in there at that time. Luckily they were using the machines so it was no big deal.
Workout was good and changed my split up a little. Basically back to a 4 day push/pull routine. Only major changes were moving shoulders to chest day and removing the two strength days. I like starting every workout with a strength move and I felt like going to the gym to do only two movements was a waste of time. So reduced the lift days from 5 to 4 and have a mix of rep ranges in every workout. One thing I do want to add to each workout is a high rep finisher to get the blood flow to the muscles. Probably some type of lat pulldown for back and chest machine for chest.
Nutrition was as good as always today. Had a Quest Cravings bar, which I froze before eating. Dear God that was good. Basically tasted like an ice cream bar. Also mixed the protein powder with greek yogurt today to mix it up a little and that was really good to. Have to be careful with putting too much greek yogurt though or the plain flavor overpowers the protein powder. Doing eggs for dinner, but didn’t feel like snapping a pic.
