Morning Weight – 170lbs
- Squats 3 x 12, 10, 10 then 4 x 7 then 1×10 (205lbs)
- DB Bench Press 1×8 3×6 3×8 1×10 (80 lbs) Felt Heavy today not sure why
Wrote and article about maximizing the metabolism earlier. The topic is quite large, so I figured I would break it down into multiple parts in order to say everything I wanted to say. Its a very interesting topic though.
Start of the new split today and I really enjoyed the first day. It was weird focusing on only two exercises, but the multiple reps and sets definitely made it a hard workout. DB Bench felt heavy to me and I’m not sure why. Going increase carbs and calories a little bit to see if I can get back to the 90lb DB.
Nutritionally I purposely added in more carbs today and dropped fats a little toward the lower range. I really want to increase the weights I lift and I feel carbs will help boost strength a little more. I also found my new favorite starch source: baked sweet potato. Mix it with splenda, cinnamon and sugar free syrup and dear God its like eating cake with each meal.
