Workout 

  • BACK AND SHOULDERS
  • DB ROWS 4×6-8 (100lb DB)
  • BB SHOULDER PRESS (115 for 6 reps)
  • CG V-BAR PULLDOWN 3×8
  • LATERAL RAISE 3×8
  • WIDE-GRIP PULLDOWN 4×10
  • PUSHUPS AND PULLUPS 100/50

Workout was below average today.  Didn’t go into they gym in the best mindset and felt pretty sluggish.  Took it pretty low volume today and lowered the weights a bit.  BB Shoulder press was alright but GREATLY prefer dumbbells, especially when working out alone with no spotter.  V-bar pulldown is an awesome isolation move for back and felt it working pretty good.

No workout shake today, which was a mistake and didn’t have nearly as much energy for the workout as I hoped for.  Had two Quest bars in honor of my post this morning :).  Probably have some type of stir-fry for dinner and finish at a little over 2000 calories.

Journal

Woke up this morning and wrote an Ode to Quest Bar’s, which are basically the best protein bars on the planet. Afterward got dressed for my interview for Webmaster and Member Marketer at a local golf course.  The position sounded great and the interview went well, but the position was part-time only and this isn’t what I’m looking for.  (especially in the long run)  So I had to pass on the position, but luckily I have another interview for a leasing manager tomorrow, which actually has tons of benefits, a full time position and healthy salary.

Since I had the morning interview, I couldn’t make a workout shake because it would have melted in my car since it was about 100 degrees today.  This negatively affected my workout, but everyday can’t go according to plan.  Workout was mediocre, but lacked motivation and didn’t get pumped up like I usually do.  I skipped the warm-up run, which probably didn’t help with my lagging energy levels, but whatever.

Came home and feasted on some steak, eggs and toast and did four more sections of the NESTA certification.  Skipped the nutrition chapters as most of it was elementary knowledge anyway.  Should be done with this thing in a couple of days.  (which is good because it takes a lot of time)
