Morning Weight 169lbs
Took a rest day after 3 hard lifting days in a row. Attempted to run, but only got in one mile and stopped. If I go too heavy on legs the day before, cardio becomes very difficult the next day.
Pretty lazy day today. I’m not sure what it is with legs day, but if I do too much heavy lifting that loads the spine (squats and deadlifts) my energy levels suck the next day and I have no motivation to lift. In the future, I may just separate the two and only do one of those on any given day. Its probably good to take days of complete rest though since your muscle do the most growing outside the gym, provided you eat enough to build them. I also updated the nutrition information on my blog to include a little more information.
As for nutrition today, I want to personally thank the person that created Quest bars. I’m not sure how he/she did it, but Dear God those things are good. Best part about them is there full of protein, high in soluble fiber, moderate in healthy fats and low in calories (especially compared to most crappy protein bars) and basically one of the best tasting things I have ever put in my mouth. A nutritional dream come true in my mind.
On a random note, I ordered $60 worth of free wine today that came with the purchase of my wine fridge. Pretty sweet deal.
